New To Church?
I wonder what comes to mind when you hear that word?
'Old fashioned' or 'irrelevant' is what some people might say. However for many people, church is about coming together as a community and doing life together with Jesus at the centre. This is what makes church anything but irrelevant.
At RCF it is our mission to be a welcoming community for all people, who are looking for a place to belong, to be loved. We also explore the bigger questions in life, about why we are here and who God is.
Because we meet in a school and not a 'typical' church building, here are some thing you might like to know if you plan to visit:
When & where does the church meet?
We meet every Sunday at 10:30am at St Alban's Catholic High School in Ipswich. We are not a Catholic church rather we rent the school premises for our times together on a Sunday. We welcome people from all denominations.
What should I expect when I visit the church?
You can see a map on our contact us page.
When you first drive through the school gates, you will see the main entrance with the church banner. This is the entrance for the church.
What happens to the children and youth at church?
Parking is available on the left hand side as you drive in. If the car park is full, please park on the grass to the right hand side.
Upon entering, you will receive a warm welcome from our welcome team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. Feel free to grab a drink and something to eat upon arrival.
Our time together will start with a welcome from one of our church leaders and everything that takes place will be explained from the front. Our services usually last 1 hour 30 minutes.
We have a regular programme for young people who attend RCF. We all start off in the main hall together for the first part of the service and the children will be directed when the time comes to leave for their separate groups. For more on our Sunday morning groups please visit the Children and Youth pages on the website (under church life).
Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code.
