Stephen and his wife, Helen, have been at Rushmere Christian Fellowship since August 1996 and have two children (now young adults), Robert and Stuart. He has been in a leadership role at RCF since 2000, and is currently involved in pastoral, discipleship and prayer ministries within the church. He is a West Ham United football fan and ex-local government employee with Ipswich Borough Council. Helen is a Home Therapies Training Nurse and also teaches in The Ark (Sunday School).
Stephen and his wife, Ruth, have been members at RCF for over 12 years. Steve is one of the Elders in the church in addition to playing keyboard in the worship band. During the week, Stephen is a Company Director of a shipping company whilst Ruth is a midwife. Stephen and Ruth have three sons and a growing number of grandchildren.
Andy is married to Lucy and has two children (Thomas and Anna). Andy moved to Ipswich in 1989 and works for BT as a Project Manager. He joined RCF in 1991 and has taken on many different roles in the fellowship over the years. Over the last few years he has been involved in reaching out to the community around Tower Hall and leading Christianity Explored and Discipleship Explored courses. He enjoys sport and is a keen Ipswich Town Supporter.
James is RCF’s Youth Pastor, joining the church with his wife, Stephanie, in April 2018. James and Stephanie have moved from Cumbria, where James has been the Eden Churches’ Children and Families Worker since May 2013. After leaving school, James had the opportunity to go on a sports ministry tour of the USA, which subsequently led to his decision to undertake a four year course in children and family work with applied theology at Moorlands Bible College and also another opportunity to be in the USA for an overseas placement with Urban Promise. James and Stephanie married in 2014 in the USA and now have a young son, Levi. In his spare time, James loves to play football, watch comedy and indulge in spicy cuisine!
Jayne has been the Ipswich CAP Centre Manager for the last 4 years, taking on this role and running the CAP Money Course in addition to being a teacher at a local primary school. Originally from Blackburn, Jayne ventured south around 19 years ago to join a university friend here in Suffolk and to take up her first teaching post. She has been married to Mike for the past 15 years and is now Mum to 3 children (David, Joel and Esther). As well as spending time with her family, Jayne also enjoys playing the piano (regularly leading worship at RCF) and swimming.
Elizabeth Hitchcock has recently taken on the role of Church Support Worker with Rushmere Christian Fellowship, covering some areas of administration, communication and pastoral support. During the remainder of her week, she works for The Langham Partnership as Administrative Executive with the Langham Scholars’ Programme. Elizabeth has been linked to Rushmere Christian Fellowship for around 20 years now, although for nearly 10 of those years she lived in the USA, working at the Serving in Mission (SIM) International Office in South Carolina.
